Hey Jensen this project seems AWESOME I would like to help!
That’s great! I am glad you want to help.
THE BEST WAY TO HELP IS TO DONATE MONEY VIA PAYPAL.
Money donated here always goes towards the project in some way: airfare, convention tickets, research materials, hotel rooms, or food. Even tiny amounts help! $5 can buy me lunch at a con, and it is good to be fed.
Much of the con scene is run by word of mouth. While the internet is fantastic for finding out stuff, what fans say matters to me way more than random stuff I pull from Wikipedia. So, do you know a great website for fan history? Know a fantastic and totally unique con in an obscure location? Let me know!
I also want to hear your stories. Even if you’re a fourteen year old kid who’s just been to his first convention, I want to know what you thought. I’m only one person, I can’t go everywhere and I can’t get the whole experience, so hearing what you think is massively helpful.
This is especially true if you were there when a convention first started (even if just as an attendee), or a volunteer and especially if you’re one of the organizers behind a con, no matter the size.
If you’ve got suggestions on how to improve this site, I’d love to hear them. I’m still very new to this whole blogging professionally thing, and right now I’m learning by trial and error. Have I made a horrifying mistake? Is there something I could do to make everything more clear? Please, tell me! I can take the harshness.
Lastly, psychological encouragement. Even just a little cheerleading from the sidelines helps me out. Comment! Share posts! Signal boost! Stuff like this lets me know that I’m not just doing this in vain.
